Questions, answers and help for Porsche Connect

You can use the Porsche ID (personal e-mail address) to register for many Porsche services, websites, apps and log into certain vehicle models. If you have bought a vehicle equipped with Connect, you will automatically receive an invitation before your vehicle is delivered. In some countries, you can even create a Porsche ID yourself.

The e-mail with the registration link may have been flagged as spam. Check the spam folder of your mailbox. If you did not receive a registration mail, please contact your Porsche partner.

Porsche Connect services are purchased for a specific vehicle. When you sell a vehicle, the booked services are retained and can be used by the new owner during the remaining term of the service contract. It is not possible to transfer booked services to other vehicles.

You can pay for whatever you purchase in the Porsche Connect Store using a credit card. You will find an overview of all accepted credit cards for your country at the end of each page in the Porsche Connect Store.

You will find the general terms and conditions and terms of use for the Porsche Connect services in the Porsche Connect Store.

We always send you the terms and conditions of your contract by e-mail after you submit your order.

If your country is not listed here, please contact your Porsche partner. Please bear in mind that this can reduce the number of Porsche Connect functions that are available and you may no longer be able to use some services.

To purchase Porsche Connect services, you need to have an account for which you register using your Porsche ID (personal e-mail address).

Selected services with an inclusive period can be ordered free of charge in the Porsche Connect Store. You can also order other services that may be subject to a charge in the Porsche Connect Store.

Move the services you want into the shopping cart. Then, enter a billing address and payment details and check your order. If your billing address and payment details are already stored in your profile, you can go directly to the order overview by selecting Express purchase.

Only new customers of Apple Music receive six free months for Apple Music.

If you are only credited with three free months, you have already redeemed a voucher or used Apple Music in the past and are therefore not a new customer of Apple Music who receives the additional three months from Apple.

If you created a new Apple ID, re-downloaded Apple Music, or accepted new T&Cs during the voucher redemption process, then you probably left Porsche’s redemption process.

Instead, you have landed in the standard Apple process, where each new customer of Apple Music is offered only three free months.

Simply restart the process in My Porsche or the app to redeem your additional three free months from Porsche.

Before you start redeeming your voucher, make sure you have an active Apple ID, i.e. that the payment information is saved and the T&Cs have been accepted.

Start redeeming the voucher before you connect the accounts, otherwise it may not work or you may be directed to the Apple voucher redemption process and only get three free months.

It seems that you have been routed to the Apple Store in the wrong country.

Please contact our Connect Support. You can also take action yourself by changing the country code of the language (e.g. en-US) in the URL of Apple’s coupon landing page to the country where your Apple ID was originally created. You should then be directed to the correct Apple storefront to redeem.

No, it only applies to individual accounts in Apple Music. You can find more information on how to change the type of your subscription on the Apple website.

Because we do not share this information with Apple to protect your data.

For this reason, the voucher is still displayed even though it has already been redeemed.

Services you have ordered will be displayed in the PCM the next time you restart your vehicle provided your vehicle is connected to the Internet.

There are different ways of doing this, depending on the model:In your Taycan, the data connection is established via the embedded SIM card. You can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. A separate SIM card slot is no longer available in the Taycan. In all other models, there are several ways of establishing a data connection, depending on the country:

Data connection via the embedded SIM card (available in some countries):If you have established a data connection via the embedded SIM card, you can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. It is not possible to have a data connection via the embedded SIM card and a telephone connection via an inserted SIM card in parallel.

Data connection via an inserted SIM card:If you have established a data connection via a separate data-enabled SIM card, you can make and receive calls at the same time using a mobile phone connected via Bluetooth. You can make and receive calls using the inserted SIM card in some countries. If you have an LTE connection, it is possible to make and receive calls in parallel with a data connection, depending on your provider. A data connection via the EDGE mobile phone network (GSM)/2G network is switched off automatically when you use the phone.

Data connection via the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone:If you use the WiFi hotspot on your mobile phone in the vehicle, the data connection will also be used through this. You can also make and receive calls via Bluetooth. If you have an LTE connection, it is possible to make and receive calls in parallel with a data connection, depending on your provider. A data connection via the EDGE mobile phone network (GSM)/2G network is switched off automatically when you use the phone.

Billing for the Functions on Demand takes place as soon as you have enabled the function in the vehicle.

For more information on unlocking in the vehicle, refer to your vehicle manual.

If you registered for an unlimited time period for a Function on Demand, which is available in some countries, you cannot cancel it when you sell your vehicle. The function remains valid for the service life of the vehicle.

If you booked a monthly subscription, you must cancel this in the Connect Store before handing over the vehicle. Under optimal conditions, e.g. a high-speed data connection, and when Privacy mode is deactivated, a message will appear in the PCM after a few minutes. Follow the instructions on the PCM. Disconnect any existing charging connection for the vehicle. Leave and lock your vehicle and then wait for approx. 10 minutes. The subscription will be cancelled automatically during this time.

If you have booked a Function on Demand indefinitely, you have a legal right of withdrawal of 14 days. During this time, you can cancel the booking of Functions on Demand free of charge. Contact Porsche Connect Support.
If you have a monthly subscription, you can terminate the subscription with one day’s notice to the end of the month.

You will find your personal contact person in My Porsche under Contact or in the message center.

An activation or installation process can fail for a number of reasons. Make sure there is no active charging connection. Switch off the vehicle using the power button, leave it and lock it. Wait for about 10 minutes. Then, restart the vehicle. Generally, the function is activated after this procedure and the online software update is displayed as available again under Updates in the PCM.

If other error messages appear, follow the instructions in the PCM or instrument cluster and contact your Porsche partner.
